Job Title: Therapeutic Services Coordinator

Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt  

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 11am - 7pm, 12pm – 8pm (varies); Requires evening and weekend hours         

Reports to: Director, Therapeutic Wellness Services (TWS)

Therapeutic Services Coordinators work individually and as a team to support the Therapeutic Service Team in ensuring that LIFE Camp youth, families and community members receive appropriate support and that these services are properly documented. They coordinate scheduling of direct and group services, manage referrals and follow-up services for victims of violence and their families and coordinate community events,  while providing high level administrative support to the Director of Therapeutic Wellness Services.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide high level administrative support to the Director of Therapeutic Wellness Services as needed, to ensure success of the department (checking emails, managing calendars, scheduling & attending meetings as needed, expense reports, memos, data tracking, etc.)

  • Support Therapeutic Wellness Services (TWS) team in ensuring all clients (youth, their families, parents) staff and community members at large  are referred to and provided with the appropriate services by scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, setting up treatment areas as needed, arranging transportation as needed, follow up calls, etc.

  • Support team in tracking these services with continuous assessment and progress reports based on client wellness needs and goals.

  • Assist in documentation during intake and needs assessment process as requested; gather all information and consent forms necessary for therapeutic treatment and participation in wellness services.

  • Coordinate and co-produce community education events and trainings led by the Therapeutic Wellness Department.

  • Develop a working knowledge of neighborhood resources and unconventional services to develop a resource directory

  • Maintain daily updates to data systems to track wellness services to all clients, staff and community.

  • Assist TWS team in maintaining organized case files and progress reports for all therapeutic services recipients.

  • Work with the TWS team to gather necessary data to assist in the completion and submission bi-weekly reports noting client progress and activities.

  • Follow up with referrals made to partnering providers and update progress notes.

  • Facilitate focus groups for life camp parents, youth, their families and community members as directed. 

  • Gather and assist in presenting data in an effective way that tells the story of LIFE Camp’s impact on the community and youth and families they serve (i.e. via charts, powerpoint presentations, research reports, etc.)

  • Assist with research development during group grant writing projects & RFP responses

  • Coordinate travel and registration for TWS team as needed for conferences, trainings, etc.

  •  Attend all program trainings, weekly staff meetings and other team meetings as required

  •  Attend regular implementation meetings with the therapeutic wellness team.

Qualification Requirements

  • Highly organized Self-Starter with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

  • Executive level administrative experience 

  • Strong written and oral business communication skills 

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Knowledge of Gmail Suite (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Etc)

  • Event Planning & Coordination Experience

  • Ability to meet timeframes and deadlines and ensure that services are provided in a timely and professional manner

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays

Additional Experience and Interests 

  • Background in social work a plus

  • Experience in trauma-informed care and case management a plus

  • Proposal development and experience developing event recaps a plus

  • Experience working with high risk youth and families

  • Social Media experience a plus (online wellness campaigns)

  • Commitment to working toward positive community change

  • Passion for engaging youth and families
