“Stop the Gun Violence” march in Southeast Queens

Life Camp and Rock Safe Streets led a Shooting Response march through southeast queens, bringing awareness to the multiple senseless killings happening in our community recently and calling for an end to Gun Violence.

Erica Ford CALMS DOWN CROWD OF 1000+

A mentally disturbed man attempted to disrupt the historic March For Our Lives rally. Although the disrupter was immediately subdued by event security, the initial commotion startled event goers, causing many to run in fear. Thankfully, CEO Erica Ford rushed to the stage. Utilizing the skills learned on the frontlines of urban communities, Ford’s quick thinking not only prevented potential injuries and or even worse, but she was able to recapture the attention of the crowd, many of whom was running for their lives. We believe that Erica Ford’s leadership and quick thinking demonstrates why our nation so desperately needs to invest in trained and trusted Violence Intervention & Prevention Specialists. Unfortunately, we live at a time when violence is disrupting all of our lives.
